There’s no room for error in manufacturing for the automotive stamping industry. The tight tolerances and precision measurements required mean that “good enough” is not good enough. If you need stamped or fabricated metal parts for after Market Automotive applications, you need us
There are thousands of different products that fall under the “aftermarket automotive” banner, and if you’re a manufacturer in this industry, you’ve got plenty of competition. Quality parts tend to stand out in this crowded field, and NINGBO OEM can provide the precision stamped parts or fabricated metal parts your products need to be the best in the business.
Firstly Precision Sheet metal fabrication comprises of 5 major processes as listed below:
Step 1: Design and Development
This is the initial phase where client will work with the design team to outline the sheet metal project in detail. At this stage the specification including measurements and quality are discussed. Once the specifications are confirmed the designers develop the design and gets the approval from the client.
The development is done in a 3D environment where the clients can see their designs getting life. This stage of the project is exciting as the client can view the designs as a digitised, provisional perception of the final product.
Step 2: Prototyping
This is a very crucial stage in development because at this stage the client’s thoughts become a tangible reality for the first time. A prototype is created using stainless steel, sheet metal or non ferrous metal, using the 3d designs in the developmental stage.
Step 3: Mass Manufacturing
The lengthiest and most important phase starts here. This stage can be broken into different phases, where in every phase require different tools and different skilled labor. The main phases are Shearing, laser cutting, NC Punch press, cleanup, forming, hardware, welding, inspection, ship to outside process.
Step 4: Quality Control
At this stage the final products are inspected by quality inspector to make sure they meet the standard quality requirements and are defect free.
Step 5: Logistics
The final stage of development is shipping. Tools like ERP, MRP and dynamic inventory modelling are mostly used to do this process. At this stage various packing techniques are used to ensure safety during the transit.
Precision Metal Stamping & Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication for Automotive Components for over 15 years, Ningbo OEM has supplied precision metal stampings and precision fabricated parts for automotive and aftermarket automotive OEMs. From simple brackets and enclosures to complex specialty parts, we deliver stamped and fabricated metal parts that meet or exceed industry standards. Our turnkey service consistently exceeds customer expectations.
Our skilled, experienced staff uses cutting-edge equipment to create parts and components that precisely match our customers’ designs. Technology and expertise combine to ensure that your parts meet your requirements and are perfectly uniform and repeatable from the first piece to the last. Specializing in low- to medium-quantity production, we work with materials as thin as 0.0005mm and can hold tolerances within ± ± 0.0002mmfor internal features and ± 0.001mm for external features (better than many OEMs).
We manufacture all our tooling and dies in-house to ensure that the finished hardware matches your parts’ specifications and meet our own strict quality standards. Our in-house tool and die shop also improves turnaround times, as there’s no waiting for final tooling to arrive at our facility.
The material we can do for stamping will be with cold rolled steel, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and other common metals and alloys; specialty materials can be sourced upon request. We stock a huge inventory of material in various thicknesses to meet your unique needs; we will also work with customer-supplied material.
